Vienna, October 28, 2020 - "Ring" International Holding AG ("Ring") acquires Burger King's franchise business in Norway, Sweden and Denmark from Umoe Restaurant AS.

Umoe Restaurants AS is the Scandinavian franchise partner of the renowned fast food brand Burger King (a brand owned by Restaurant Brands International), headquartered in Norway. Through its subsidiary BK Scandinavia and its operating companies in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, Umoe and its sub-franchisees operate a large number of Burger King restaurants throughout Scandinavia. Ring is now acquiring Umoe’s stake in Burger King Scandinavia – the closing of the transaction is still subject to customary conditions and is expected to be completed in Q4/2020.

In addition, Ring was supported by investment advisor Optimizer AG (Sascha Kroissenbrunner) and in financial and tax structuring matters by EY (Andreas Sauer).
