Brandl & Talos advises Anyline on USD 12m Series A financing round
Anyline raises $12 million in growth capital through a Series A financing round.
Stop Losing Time to Typing – Start Scanning with Anyline. Founded in 2013, Anyline has developed a mobile optical character recognition (OCR) solution and is the market leader in this field. OCR supports companies and institutions in transforming analog information – such as ID documents, license plates, and electricity meter readings – into digital data. Anyline provides the optimal solution for everyday digitalization. International corporations such as Toyota, IBM, and PepsiCo already rely on Anyline’s services.
Within the scope of a Series A financing round, Anyline was able to raise new capital from, among others, the renowned Berlin VC investor Project A. The existing investors, which include Johann “Hansi” Hansmann, Senovo PUSH Ventures, Hermann Hauser, and the Gernot Langes-Swarovski Foundation, also continue to support the company’s growth course.
The investment is primarily intended to be used to take on new employees, strengthen the sales fleet, and set up US offices in Boston. Anyline has its sight set on explosive growth, opening up new markets and branching out into further fields of application for mobile OCR solutions, together with the company’s existing and new customers.
“Roman Rericha and Markus Arzt have achieved the seemingly impossible for us in a very short time. We have been working successfully with Brandl & Talos for years and could not be more satisfied. As the top dog in the venture capital scene, Roman is our first point of contact for financing issues. The efficient and short-term implementation of this decisive financing round for us could not have gone better. We would like to thank you for this great achievement,” says Lukas Kinigadner, CEO and co-founder of Anyline.
Brandl & Talos advised Anyline GmbH as transaction counsel. The team led by Roman Rericha also included Markus Arzt, Sabine Konrad and Christina Bernhart. Lead investor Project A and Senovo were represented by Herbst Kinsky Rechtsanwälte (Dr. Philipp Kinsky) and Schnittker Möllmann Partners (Dr. Frederik Gärtner).
